Pagnotta del Dittaino is a round loaf with yellow bread crumbs and a medium-hard crust which keeps it fresh for five days after baking, as well as maintaining its aroma and flavour. It is packaged in plastic film or in a modified atmosphere to ensure compliance with health and hygiene requirements, while allowing the product to breathe. It is labelled Pagnotta del Dittaino together with the DOP and EU logos.
