Chioggia Radicchio is grown in the Precoce variety - medium-small in size, crimson coloured, crunchy, sweet tasting with a bitterish note - and Tardivo, medium-large, deep crimson in colour, medium crunchy and markedly bitter in flavour. The farming zone is Venice, Padua and Rovigo provinces in the Veneto region. It is sold sealed with product indications, the EC symbol and an IGP reference.
