The Zafferano di Sardegna (Sardinia Saffron DOP) is a product made from the dried stigma of the Crocus Sativus flower. It is bright red in colour with an intense fragrance and a strong flavour. It is packaged in glass, terracotta, cork or cardboard containers. Labels display the name Sardinia Saffron, a reference to DOP, the product logo, the EC symbol and a stamp showing quantity number.
